Swift was founded in 1996 by two women who wanted to buy a gift card for an out-of-state friend. They found nothing that worked. So they started Swift with the goal of creating a universal prepaid card.

Today, Swift is at the leading edge of the prepaid industry. We are one of the top five non-bank issuers of Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express incentive and payment cards, and we work with major Fortune 1000 companies, and many other innovative organizations. We are continually developing new technology, prepaid offerings and services to provide the best results possible.
