Open Loop

Cards can be spent at over 30 million merchant acceptance locations worldwide. In certain instances, these cards can be ATM or cash enabled. Easily replaces cash or checks. No special trip to the bank. No activation required. Allows you to target those without traditional checking accounts.

Implied Filtered

These cards are marketed and branded as if they can or should only be used at certain merchants or merchant category code(s), but they can actually be used anywhere the network brand is accepted. This option offers most of the benefits of a true filtered card without licensing fees, and offers consumer flexibility where needed. With implied filtered cards, you can expect to capture anywhere from 50% to 90% of the intended spend.

True Filtered/Restricted Spend

Cards can only be spent at certain merchants or merchant categories. Other transactions will be rejected. Licensing fees apply, but you can direct the spend to meet a myriad number of goals. Wireless companies can restrict the spend to their online stores for redemption of APPS with the purchase of a smart phone. Health and Wellness incentives can be geared toward merchants that promote healthy options. Pharmaceutical companies can restrict cards to drug stores and pharmacies for prescription, co-pay or clinical trial studies. Warranty and insurance claims can be directed for product replacement.
